It’s been 40 years and its a great time to reflect on how far we have come. Enjoy this site which celebrates us through the years.
Whitehaven High School is a public school located in MEMPHIS, TN. It has 1,652 students in grades 9-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 20 to 1. Whitehaven High School was opened by 1911 with evidence of the school dating back to 1893 and was the only high school in the community until Hillcrest opened during the 1960s. The class of 1982 was first class to graduate under the leadership of Dr. Tracy Norville and Vincent Hunter, a fellow graduate in that class is the current principal .
Whitehaven High School has maintained a tradition and reputation of excellence for over 100 years. Located on thirty-nine plus acres in the southern part of Memphis, the school continues to be an integral part of the community. Whitehaven is honored by its professional alumni who frequently return to visit the historic hallways of composites, especially during its annual Whitehaven Empowerment Zone(WEZ) Expo, and mentor current students. Loyal alumni, who have chosen the education profession as a career, dedicate themselves to the students of Whitehaven High School. Whitehaven High School currently has thirty (30) graduates on staff.

We would plan to provide a donation to the Whitehaven High School STEM building fund. $25 of the reunion cost will go towards supporting the construction of a new state-of-the-art building for the sciences – AP and honors physics, biology, chemistry, robotics, compsci, and environmental science will have 9 new labs and classrooms. Thanks for helping to leave a legacy!

I am so proud to have had the opportunity to lead this wonderful class back then. The years we spent at Whitehaven taught me so much about leadership, friendship, setting goals and celebrating each win (big and small). It was said then that we were a special class and that has proven true as we have made it through to this milestone. Many of us have remained connected despite distance and years. We have come a long way but never forgotten home. Love ya!
